As part of the academic mobility program for the 2023-2024 academic year, 4th year students of the School of Public Health and Management Zhabytay Zhaniya, Sadvakasova Zhannur, Muratbekova Asem, Sazonova Yulia, Shadibek Anel completed practical training as a “Specialist Hygienist” at the Azerbaijan Medical University. The practice took place from April 1 to April 19, 2024 on the basis of the Faculty of Public Health of the Azerbaijan Medical University. We attended lectures in the major departments of the faculty, as well as at the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology (GEM) of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan. We studied the structure of healthcare, got acquainted with the work of the electronic program for epidemiology EIDSS, and visited laboratories related to HEM. In addition to studying, the students enjoyed gorgeous spring days off the shores of the Caspian Sea in Baku and spent their free time immersing themselves in the atmosphere of Azerbaijan's historical sites. At the end of the internship, students received certificates confirming successful completion of the internship.
