The WHO country office in Kazakhstan, on the initiative of the Astana Medical University, conducted a training for health workers

The three-day training organized on the initiative of the Astana Medical University together with the WHO country office in Kazakhstan has ended.

The training course was aimed at transferring knowledge and skills to medical workers using various training methods with a special emphasis on perative and coordination actions in conditions of mass injuries at the pre-hospital and hospital levels.

The event was held with the participation of technical experts from the headquarters of the WHO Emergency Medical Teams Secretariat and WHO practicing trainers from Ukraine Dr. Galina Tsymbalyuk and Elena Volovik, as well as with the financial support of the European Union (European Union in Kazakhstan).

 

The training was attended by doctors of the internal examination patient support service, reception and diagnostic departments and intensive care and intensive care units, traumatology departments, nurses of anesthesiology-intensive care units and other departments receiving patients with serious injuries, as well as the management of the Nur-Sultan City Ambulance Station, the National Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after academician N. Batpenov, as well as scientific staff of the Department of Surgical Diseases of the MUA.

Opening the training, the head of the WHO country office in Kazakhstan, Dr. Caroline Clarinval, expressed confidence that based on modeling and simulation, the training will provide basic theory and practice on the organization of local hospitals for an effective response to emergencies at a time when the number of victims significantly exceeds the available resources and capacities.

In turn, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Astana Medical University Kamalzhan Nadyrov noted that the Head of State at the World Health Assembly noted that Kazakhstan supports WHO and considers this organization as a reliable partner. This training is not only a confirmation of this cooperation, but also carries special knowledge and skills necessary to save human lives.
