NAO "Astana Medical University" (MUA) began active work on the development of the educational program of continuous integrated medical education "Medico-preventive care" (OP NIMO MPD) on the basis of the Order of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 24, 2023 No. 86.

The main goal of medical and preventive work is to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prevention of morbidity of the population, ensuring its safety. This explains the demand for the training of sanitary doctors.
As part of the execution of the order of the Acting Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana Medical University has created a working group on the development of an OP NIMO MPD, a roadmap has been approved and the first meeting of the working group has been held.
The working group consists of doctors and candidates of medical sciences, PhD doctors, associate professors. The head of the working group of the NIMO MPD is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology - Musina A.A.
The draft educational program will be submitted for discussion to stakeholders, and then submitted for approval by the Academic Council of the Astana Medical University.
According to the Roadmap, the first set of applicants is planned for the summer of this year.
Upon completion of the training, graduates will receive a qualification – a hygienist, an epidemiologist.
