To improve the quality of medical and pharmaceutical education and the implementation of the principle of the trinity of science, practice, and education, in 2007 a training and clinical center was established at «MUA» JSC, renamed in 2022 into the Simulation Center.
The main tasks of the Simulation Center:
- organization and provision of an educational environment for hybrid training in the conditions of the Center;
- organization and control of methodological support of the educational process in the Center;
- organizing and providing the necessary conditions for conducting an objective structured clinical examination (hereinafter referred to as the OSCE);
- methodological support for the conduct of OSCE;
- organization and provision of the necessary conditions for the advanced training of the teaching staff (hereinafter referred to as the teaching of teaching practical skills at the Center;
- creation of conditions for independent training of students in practical skills in the Center;
- monitoring the quality of hybrid training in the Center's conditions;
- development and effective use of material and technical resources of the Center.
Functions of the Simulation Center:
1) providing the Center with the necessary simulation equipment according to the catalog of practical skills;
2) organization of material and technical equipment of the Center's classrooms according to the catalog of practical skills;
3) formation of the need to purchase the necessary simulation equipment for all offices of the Center's blocks, depending on the goals and objectives of each block;
4) scheduling of the educational process on the basis of the Center in conjunction with clinical departments;
5) rational placement of equipment (phantoms, phantom systems, mannequins, robot simulators), taking into account the main activities of the Center;
6) development of students' communication skills in the conditions of practicing practical skills at the Center;
7) organization of the necessary conditions for hybrid training and conducting the OCE in the conditions of the Center;
8) organization and coordination of the educational process of the Center;
9) providing methodological assistance to departments in the preparation of clinical scenarios;
10) providing departments with basic scenarios for working out clinical scenarios on highly realistic equipment (robot simulators);
11) updating the catalog of practical skills of the university;
12) ensuring the smooth functioning of the simulation
equipment of the Center;
13) conducting presentations and demonstrations of the Center;
14) work on interaction with international organizations for simulation training, public organizations for simulation training in medicine.
