Admission process

-          According to the Rules for awarding an educational grant to pay for higher or postgraduate education with the award of a bachelor's or master's degree, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 23, 2008 No. 58.

-          To participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant of the local executive body (hereinafter referred to as the MIO), the applicant submits documents to the University admissions committee from August 5 to August 10 (if there is an educational grant at the expense of the local budget).

-          Based on the decision of the MIO commission, an order is issued by the akim or deputy akim of the relevant region or city of republican significance, the capital, and applicants are issued certificates of awarding an educational grant to the MIO.

-          The lists of the holders of the MIO educational grant are published in the local mass media.

-          On the basis of the issued certificate of the award of the educational grant of the MIO, an order is issued for enrollment under the educational grant of the MIO.

-          A tripartite agreement "MIO-student-OVPO" is concluded with the holder of the MIO educational grant.

-          In case of refusal of the holder of the MIO educational grant, the certificate of awarding the MIO educational grant is canceled, the educational grant is awarded on a competitive basis in accordance with the procedure established by these Rules.

-          Certificates of awarding an educational grant to the MIO, together with documents submitted by citizens for participation in the competition, are issued by the MIO no later than August 25.
