Every year at the university NJSC "Astana Medical University" and at the department of oncology there is an extensive plan of educational work for the academic year, under the leadership of doctor of medical sciences, professor, head of the department of oncology A.K. Makishev, assistants and residents of the department carry out health education work with schoolchildren, as well as career guidance work with students in final classes.

On March 29, 2024, the Department of Oncology organized a preventive lecture for teachers and students of the Binom School named after Kadyr Myrza Ali, where the lecturer was the assistant of the Department of Oncology N.M. Dzhantemirova. on the topic: prevention of skin cancer, skin melanoma.

On April 2, 2024, students at the Eurasian Humanitarian Institute were given a motivational and preventive lecture on the topic: Prevention of cancer," 2nd year students in the amount of 54 students participated. The lecturers were assistants of the oncology department Kukanova A.M., Moldantaeva A.K. and resident 1 year Ibraeva T.M.

On April 10, students of “School-Lyceum No. 28” of the city of Astana were given a motivational preventive lecture on the topic: Prevention of cancer, among students of 10 grades, a total of 46 students. Lecturers: Kukanova A.M., Zyryanov M.M. The meeting was organized in an interactive format with the active participation of an assistant and resident of the oncology department and school students. Resident doctor Zyryanov M.M. answered questions from students who showed interest and gave positive feedback. Head teacher for educational work Kononenko G.V. noted the importance and necessity of such events.

Career guidance work was carried out with graduates of secondary school No. 94 of the Akimat of Astana with the participation of assistant of the Department of Oncology Akhmedin D.N. and resident of the Department of Oncology Khasenbabina K.K.

During the meeting, schoolchildren asked many questions about admission to NJSC "MUA", details of preparation, and heard the wishes and recommendations of teachers.

At the end, the graduates received booklets with information about the university, and teachers from the Department of Oncology wished them successful passing of the UNT.
