According to the memorandum of cooperation with Istanbul Medipol University, a joint educational program was formed at Astana Medical University in the 1st year. As part of this agreement, professors from Medipol University were invited to the basic departments. Together with them, the module "Fundamentals of morphology and physiology of organs and systems" developed thematic plans for lectures and practical classes in English. This module includes three disciplines: histology, anatomy and physiology.
151 English-speaking groups of the School of Medicine were formed at the Department of Histology and Cytology to conduct cycle classes. Classes in the discipline "Histology" were conducted by PhD, professor of the University of Medipol Gunesh Arzu from October 21 to 25, 2024.
In the process of working in lectures and practical classes, the professor used such active teaching methods as problem-oriented learning, CBL using examples of nosology. The lectures and practical classes of Professor Gunesh Arzu were accompanied by a demonstration on the TV screen of presentations with micrographs of tissues of internal organs obtained by various modern research methods: confocal, immunohistochemical, luminescent microscopy. The lecture material was also supported by a demonstration of electronic circuits and diagrams. During the classes, active feedback was maintained between students and the teacher, which contributed to the full disclosure of the topic under study. This was noticed by the professors and teachers of the department who were present at the lesson. The classes conducted by Professor Gunesh Arzu were equipped by the department with modern educational microscopes, micro-preparations, a laptop, a TV, atlases and textbooks in English. During her stay, Professor Gunesh Arzu shared not only her academic experience, but also the peculiarities of organizing scientific work in the educational process at the Department of Histology at Medipol University.
