On October 14, Moscow hosted the 15th All-Russian Student Forum, “Minimally Invasive Technologies in Pediatric Surgery: From Theory to Practice,” dedicated to the memory of Professor Alexey Vyacheslavovich Geraskin. The event brought together students interested in advancing modern pediatric surgery and mastering endoscopic treatment techniques.

Students representing the Pediatric Surgery Student Research Club of the National Medical University named after Toregeldy Sharmanov achieved an impressive result at this prestigious professional event. Fifth-year students of the School of Pediatrics, Nazgul Zhanatkyzy Imanova and Zhibek Duanbekkyzy Turgyn, took second place.

Their achievement was the result of thorough theoretical and practical preparation, effective teamwork, and a strong commitment to mastering modern technologies in pediatric surgery.

Their mentors played an important role in preparing the students: academic supervisor Damir Bulatovich Dzhenalayev, Doctor of Medical Sciences; Medet Kushirbayevich Khamitov, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery; and Asem Rakhmatullayevna Shakeeva, Dean of the School of Pediatrics.
