The process of admission to doctoral studies

Admission to doctoral programs in educational programs in the field of education "Health and social security (medicine)

STAGE I - PRELIMINARY SELECTION (according to educational programs in the field of education "Health and social security (medicine): Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing Science).

Persons entering the doctoral program send the following documents (in scanned form) to e-mail pk.doktorantura@amu .kz until April 3.

Documents are submitted to the admissions committee in full-time format or online by e-mail:

when providing a full package of documents, the applicant is issued a receipt for the acceptance of documents;

- when submitting documents online, the applicant must call the admissions office 8 778 357 94 57, 8 778 985 30 95 to confirm receipt of the documents, the receipt is sent to the applicant's mail.

If an incomplete list of documents is provided, the applicant's application is not considered.

Applicants come out at the meeting of the Commission with the protection of the annotation (the time limit of the speech is 10-15 minutes).

The abstract for the presentation should be prepared in the form of a presentation.

The meeting of the commission for the preliminary selection of applicants for training in the educational programs of the doctoral program for the consideration of documents will be held in the period from 08.04.2024 to 12.04.2024.

Based on the results of the preliminary selection, a decision is made on the admission or non-admission of the applicant to the second stage of admission to training.

Information about the decision is posted on the University's website the day after the commission meeting.

There is no appeal based on the results of the Preliminary Selection.

Documents for participation in the preliminary selection

- Application addressed to the head of the organization;

- A copy of the identity document;

- A copy of the document on completion of residency or master's degree (for those who have completed residency or master's degree);

- Certificate of residency or Master's degree (for students in residency or Master's degree);

Resume (personal data, work experience, education, skills, completed courses, seminars, participation in projects, knowledge of foreign languages);

- A document confirming work activity, certified by the personnel service at the place of work (work experience of at least 9 months for persons who have completed a master's degree);

- An international certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language in accordance with the pan-European competencies (standards) of foreign language proficiency (if available; if not, it is necessary to submit to the second stage of accepting documents for training); a certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language:

IELTS Academic, the threshold score is at least 5.5;

TOEFL IBT, threshold score – at least 46 points;

TOEFL PBT, threshold score – at least 453;

TOEFL ITP, threshold score – at least 460;

(Persons with a TOEFL ITP certificate take additional testing for English language proficiency before the start of the entrance exam for doctoral studies.)

- An official certificate of passing the exam in the state language (KAZTEST) issued by the national testing center (if available; if not, it is necessary to submit to the second stage of admission of documents for training);

- Essay on the choice of specialty in Kazakh or Russian (in the volume of no more than 2 A4 pages) (essay);

Abstract of the dissertation research in Kazakh or Russian (abstract);

- List of scientific and methodological works (scientific publications) for the last 3 calendar years (if available) (list of scientific papers);

- Certificates of scientific research; certificates of awarding scientific scholarships; grants; certificates/diplomas for participation in scientific conferences and competitions, etc. (if available).

STAGE II ENTRANCE EXAM

The admission of applicants for doctoral studies in OVPO is carried out by the university's admission committee in the following terms:

1. From July 3 to August 3 of the calendar year;

2. From October 25 to November 10 of the calendar year;

Entrance exams for groups of educational programs for doctoral studies are held in the following terms:

1. From August 4 to August 20 of the calendar year;

2. From November 19 to December 11 of the calendar year;

Appeal Commission (if necessary)

STAGE III ENROLLMENT IN DOCTORAL STUDIES

Submission to the University admissions Committee of original documents according to the list specified in the Standard Rules for Admission to educational Organizations implementing educational programs of higher and postgraduate education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2018 No. 600 to August 28.

Admission to the doctoral program is carried out in the following terms:

1) from August 15 to August 28 of the calendar year;

2) from December 26 to January 10 of the calendar year.
