The project “Improving Nursing at the Master’s and PhD Levels in the Higher Education System of Kazakhstan - AccelEd” aims to reform nursing science and research in the higher education system of Kazakhstan, modernize the management, management and functioning of healthcare and the practice of higher education in the field of natural sciences in Kazakhstan.
Modernization within AccelEd means improved management, planning, quality assurance, internationalization and greater acceptance of nursing education at the master's and PhD levels, and a contribution to the advancement of lifelong learning in nursing. As a structural project, AccelEd will be implemented with the assistance of the ministries responsible for health and education, which will ensure the sustainability of actions, as well as the inclusion of the results of the implemented activities in the subsequent operational plans of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The goals and objectives of the AccelEd project were formed on the basis of the problems and challenges associated with higher nursing education and the specific needs of the project's target groups. A wide range of national, local and international stakeholders, including academic staff and politicians, were involved in the development of the project proposal, thereby ensuring that the goals and objectives are achievable, given their relevance to the national context of Kazakhstan.
Thus, the overall goal of the project to strengthen nursing education at the master's level, as well as the creation and implementation of PhD doctoral studies in nursing science in Kazakhstan, is in line with the strategic interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan and satisfies the need for specialists in the field of nursing education, research and clinical practice.
