In the period from 05.12.2022 to 10.12.2022 more than 80 people participated in the seminar “Modern view on the problem of neuroinflammatory diseases” of Erkingul Birday, Professor of the Neurology Department, Istanbul Medipol University, Turkey.

The seminar program covered the issues of innovative approaches in the management of dysimmune diseases of the nervous system, namely: diagnosis and monitoring of the course of multiple sclerosis, interpretation of clinical cases of typical and atypical course of multiple sclerosis; modified treatment of multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optic spectrum of associated diseases of the nervous system (with demonstration of clinical cases); neurosarcoidosis (with demonstration of clinical cases); systemic vasculitis (with demonstration of clinical cases); Beckett's disease (with demonstration of clinical cases), demonstration of patients with a history of the disease, who are under observation in the multiple sclerosis room in Astana.

The target audience of the seminar was practical neurologists, 1, 2 years residents in the specialty "Adult and Pediatric Neurology", master and doctoral students and teachers of the Department of Neurology. As a result of the training, modern methods of diagnostics and treatment were mastered, the skills of managing patients of this category were developed, guided by international recommendations.

In the future, the staff of the Neurology Department plans to establish close ties with the Medical Faculty of the Medipol University, Istanbul, Turkey for the publication of scientific articles, launching a joint research project.
