Students of Astana Medical University met with representatives of law enforcement agencies and the Department of Psychology and Narcology, which was dedicated to the topic of synthetic drugs and gambling addiction. Future doctors were informed about their consequences and damaging factor for the human body and psyche.
The students met with the Deputy head of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Police Colonel Bakhytzhan Amirkhanov.
He told the students about criminal liability for possession and distribution of drugs, about the consequences that can come in pursuit of easy money that scammers promise. The police colonel shared his experience from working practice, told about the increased number of accidents involving electric scooters, noted that users of vehicles often do not know the rules of traffic regulations. As you know, any action has its consequences, and ignorance of the law does not exempt from responsibility.
Dr. Almas Kusainov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Narcology, informed about the harm of narcotic drugs, about the increased number of suicides as a result of alcohol or drug use. Also Almas Abihasovich emphasized the importance of prevention and counteraction to the use of narcotic drugs.
The meeting ended with a presentation by Toktar Koishybekov, assistant of the Department of Psychology and Narcology. He emphasized the importance of taking care not only of physical health, but also of psychological health. At the same time, he noted that people have begun to think about their psychological health only recently, as shown by the increasing number of requests for help from psychologists and psychiatrists. Toktar Toleukhanovich cited cases from his practice, touched upon the topic of safe pastime, warned about possible causes of malicious intent of unfamiliar people, urged students to take care of themselves
and close people their own.
