A student of the Astana Medical University NJSC won bronze at the Asian Wushu Championship

From June 17 to June 23, 2024, the Asian Wushu Student Championship was held in Harbin (People's Republic of China). Representatives from countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and others took part in the competition.

Our country was worthily represented by Traise Arstan Vadimovich, an international master of sports and a student of the Astana Medical University NJSC. Arstan won the bronze medal with a score of 9.23, beating the titled athletes from Hong Kong: Pui yen roy Chow, Yat hei Lai, Cheuk kiu Ho. This result is unique, since it is the first time such a high score has been achieved at such a prestigious event.

 

Traise Arstan has an impressive sports record. He has the following achievements to his credit:

• Asian Championships 2017, Korea: 2 silver medals.

• Moscow stars of Wushu 2017, Russia: gold medal.

• World Championship 2018, China: 2 bronze medals.

• World Championship 2023: 2 silver medals.

• Repeated winner of the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Arstan's performance at the Asian Championship once again confirmed his high level of skill and preparedness, and also demonstrated the high potential of our university students. We are proud of Arstan's achievements and wish him further success and new sporting victories!
