Annually, the Department of Pediatric Diseases with courses in Allergology, Immunology, Hematology and Endocrinology (Head of the Department of Prof. Morenko M.A.) takes an active part in the Summer School of the NAO "Astana Medical University". So, in the 2023-2024 academic year from June 18 to June 25, associate professor of the department Galimgozhina N.I. and assistant Dudnik O.N. organized and successfully conducted the course "Topical issues of pediatrics from the perspective of practical medicine". 
Classes were held at clinical bases - in Multidisciplinary urban children's Hospitals No. 1 and No. 2, as well as in the Simulation Center of the University. 
In order to improve the educational process, a wider coverage of the material, and also, taking into account the wishes of students, the content of the Summer School is changed annually. At the same time, the main leitmotif of the course remains the application of knowledge and skills in practice, the development of professional skills, and the development of clinical thinking. The whole learning process is based on the principle of "From theory to practice". So, this year, new classes were introduced on emergency care in specific life situations (case simulation) using the capabilities of patient-replacement technologies and developing the right tactics for managing patients with various variants of hemorrhagic syndrome in children.  
All classes were conducted in an unconventional way, using CBL, JV, dummy computer technology, and a master class with the active involvement of the students themselves in the educational process. 
The audience was actively interested in the clinical analysis of patients with the analysis of the data obtained, diagnosis and treatment. This section of work is traditionally present in our Summer School courses, as it is working with real patients, and it prepares students for professional activities more effectively. 
During the training, students regularly had clinical questions and, unlike in previous years, another practical lesson was additionally conducted at the initiative of the students. 
The choice of topical problems of pediatrics, an unconventional approach to the educational process, proximity to future professional activities, and the creation of an atmosphere of communication between colleagues caused only positive feedback from listeners, which stimulated the continuation of the department's work within the framework of the Summer School for the next academic year.
