The «Astana Medical University» NCJSC invites you to take part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Astana MedForum 2024: Medicine of the Future - Integration of Science, Education and Practice» dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Astana Medical University, which will be held from October 14 to 15, 2024 in Astana.
The event is part of the plan of scientific and practical activities of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024.
The Conference will bring together all key stakeholders in the field of healthcare, science and higher education - representatives of the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministries and other government authorities and the quasi-public sector, academic leaders and scientists from Kazakhstani and foreign universities and research organizations, leading experts from practical healthcare institutions. This conference aims to discuss global challenges facing the healthcare system, medical education and science, develop recommendation for their solution and define new development horizons in view of technological trends and scientific achievements.
Topics to be discussed at the Conference:
· New frontiers of university development in the 21st century;
· Innovations in medicine that change clinical practice;
· Trends in development of digitalization in healthcare;
· New horizons in development of education technologies and innovations in medical education;
· New horizons in development of medical science;
· New horizons in development of infrastructure and technologies for practical training of healthcare specialists;
· New horizons in development of social and educational work of the university;
· New horizons in development of management and digitalization of universities;
· New horizons for the development of the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
The Conference program will include plenary sessions and panel sessions, a poster session, a commercialization reactor, a forum on digitalization of healthcare, a forum on the development of the medical and pharmaceutical industry, a hackathon on digital transformation of healthcare, a showcase of projects, a forum of young scientists, an exhibition of innovative achievements and digital solutions in health care.

The Organizing Committee is accepting both verbal and poster presentations from academic leaders, scientists, and healthcare experts worldwide via email at nauka@amu.kz. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2024.
Poster presentations should adhere to the design requirements outlined in Appendix 1.
Following the results of the Conference, a special issue of the scientific and practical journal «Astana Medical Journals» will be published. Articles and (or) abstracts must be prepared according to the requirements in accordance with Appendix 2 and submitted before August 31, 2024 to the email address crnid@amu.kz
Appendix 1
Requirements for poster presentations
1. Structure of the poster report:
· The title of the poster report (use CAPITAL LETTERS, BOLD WEIGHT).
· Author information (author(s)' initials and surname, affiliation (university or organization), city, country).
· Relevance (introduction): Provide a brief and clear explanation of topic relevance, research rationale, purpose and objectives.
· Materials and methods: Describe the research design and the way it implemented.
· Results: Present the main research findings in a logical text format.
· Conclusions: Summarize the main research findings in the "Conclusions" section, discussing the confirmation of hypotheses or objectives stated in the study.
2. Use Kazakh, English or Russian to design poster.
3. Name the file after the first author’s surname.
4. Submit the poster as a single MS PowerPoint file in landscape layout.
Appendix 2
Requirements for articles/abstracts design
REQUIREMENTS FOR ABSTRACTS DESIGN
Format using Microsoft Word with Arial font size 12, single-spaced; on A4 paper with 2 cm margins.
Title should be in all caps without abbreviations. Include authors' full names (in English), job titles, affiliations, city, country and email addresses in the passport section.
Maintain a consistent indentation at the beginning of each paragraph
Ensure abstracts provide informative content: relevance, research purpose, detailed materials and methods description, brief results summary, conclusions, and at least six keywords.
Introduction should present the issue's relevance in one paragraph, concluding with the research purpose.
Detail research design, participant, material type, procedures, and statistical analysis in "Materials and Methods" section.
Concisely provide data with interpretations in a logical text format in "Results" section.
Ensure your selection of keywords includes Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) of Index Medicus.
Avoid abbreviations, tables, graphs, or other illustrations in abstracts.
Submit each abstract as a separate file.
Thoroughly edit the text.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented.
Editorial team may make changes to the manuscript text that do not diminish its scientific value.
