The staff of the Department of Microbiology and Virology named after Sh.I. Sarbasova represented the university at the XLI Turkish Microbiology Congress, held from November 13 to 17, 2024, in Antalya, Turkey.
PhD, Associate Researcher of the Department, and Project Manager of the IRN AR1483466 “New Technologies for Early Diagnosis of Tuberculosis and Predicting the Effectiveness of Its Treatment” (2022–2024), Utegenova A.M., delivered a presentation titled “Innovative Methods of Early Tuberculosis Diagnosis: From Molecular Technologies to Clinical Application.” Her presentation highlighted the project’s achievements in the field of molecular tuberculosis diagnostics and the implementation of innovative methods into clinical practice.
A first-year doctoral student in the “Medicine” program and senior lecturer of the department, Yktyarov A.A., presented a report titled “Predicting Treatment Response in Tuberculosis: New Approaches and Tools for Improving Therapy Effectiveness”. His research focused on enhancing the prediction of tuberculosis therapy outcomes using modern tools and methods.
Participation in the congress was a significant step toward the international promotion of the department’s scientific achievements and provided an excellent platform for exchanging experiences with leading experts in microbiology. The event also strengthened international scientific ties, which will undoubtedly contribute to further advancements in the university’s research and educational programs.
