Assistant Professor of the Department of Nursing, Mereke Yesengalikyzy Alaidarova, conducted seminar sessions from November 11 to 15 as part of the academic mobility program at the Department of Nursing of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. The seminars were dedicated to the topic: «Improving the Quality of Nursing Care in Primary Healthcare: Leadership, Patient-Centered Approach, and Support Methods».
The following topics were addressed during the seminars:
- The Quality of Nursing Care in Primary Healthcare: Patient-Centered Approach, Concept, Core Principles, and Practical Implementation Methods.
- Nursing Care in Primary Healthcare Settings and the Leadership Qualities of Nurse Managers: Impact on Teamwork and Staff Retention.
- The Interrelation of Nurses’ Working Conditions and Professional Stress in Primary Healthcare Organizations.
As part of the program, practical training sessions were also organized on the following topics:
- Allergic Diseases in Children: Stages of the Nursing Process and Methods of Parental Support.
- Patient Education on Disease Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Health Promotion.
Mereke Yesengalikyzy Alaidarova shared her knowledge and expertise with students of all levels in the «Nursing» educational program, providing valuable insights into implementing leadership principles and patient-centered approaches in primary healthcare. She emphasized practical aspects that students can effectively apply in their future professional practice.
