Fr om November 25 to 29, 2024, the head of the Department of Rehabilitation Slivkina N.V. and Associate Professor Taitubaeva G.K., within the framework of the academic mobility program and the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the NpJSC "Astana Medical University" and the Samarkand State Medical University, gave lectures and conducted practical classes on the subject of "Rehabilitation" and "Therapeutic Massage" for 3rd year students of the Samarkand State Medical University. The groups listened with great interest to the lectures focusing on current issues of neurorehabilitation, the use of modern technologies in rehabilitation, and received detailed answers to their questions, consolidating the knowledge gained in practice.
The meeting with the staff of the departments of "Medical Rehabilitation, Sports and Traditional Medicine" and "Neurology" of the Samarkand State Medical University was held with great warmth, where our teachers introduced Uzbek colleagues to new educational programs for training specialists in multidisciplinary rehabilitation groups, implemented at the Astana Medical University, discussed modern methods of neurorehabilitation, and also held master classes on the use of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health in the rehabilitation process (Slivkina N.V.) and on botulinum therapy in rehabilitation (Taitubayeva G.K.).
On November 27, our teachers and Uzbek colleagues held a joint meeting of the Student Scientific Society of the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of Astana Medical University and the Departments of Medical Rehabilitation, Sports and Traditional Medicine and Neurology of Samarkand State Medical University on the topic: "Current Issues of Neurorehabilitation", where the most interesting reports were presented by a 1st-year student of the MUA specializing in "Ergotherapy" Ibragimova M.A. on the use of technical rehabilitation means and a doctoral student of the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of MUA Kurban Zh. on the use of artificial intelligence in rehabilitation, as well as Samarkand students.
An important event of the visit Samarkand State Medical University was the speech of Slivkina N.V. and Taytubaeva G.K. at the International scientific and practical conference "Innovations in clinical neurology and neurorehabilitation", wh ere leading scientists from Uzbekistan, France, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan discussed modern trends in neurorehabilitation, evidence-based rehabilitation of patients after a stroke, innovations in the field of neurorehabilitation.
The visit of our teachers with the academic mobility program to Samarkand State Medical University was highly appreciated by both our Uzbek colleagues and students, and certainly made a significant contribution to strengthening the interaction between our universities in matters of training highly qualified specialists, and also outlined the prospects for joint scientific developments.
