On December 11, 2024, the Department of Eye Diseases conducted a large-scale event for free vision checks at the main building of the Medical University of Astana, located at 49a Beibitshilik Street. The event was organized in honor of the International Day of Eye Health, highlighting the importance of prevention and timely diagnosis of ophthalmic conditions.

As part of the campaign, anyone interested could undergo a free examination, which

included:

1. Visual acuity testing;

2. Assessment of corneal curvature and refraction;

3. Measurement of intraocular pressure.

In just one day, more than 100 individuals were screened, demonstrating the high level of public interest in eye health care. Every participant received recommendations for further actions and, if necessary, was referred for consultations with specialists.
