From November 17 to 29, 2024, the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Microbiology and Virology named after Sh.I. Sarbasseries of lectures and practical sessions on the discipline “Microbiology” for second-year students specializing in Medicine. This cycle included seminars and hands-on traova, Master of Natural Sciences, Nazgul Seitbekovna Sutimbekova, visited the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov (KazNMU) in Almaty as part of the inter-university academic mobility program.
The primary purpose of this visit was to conduct a ining aimed at deepening students’ knowledge in clinical microbiology and enhancing their professional competencies.
During her academic visit in Almaty, Sutimbekova employed a sequence of innovative methods grounded in long-term projects designed to develop students’ critical thinking, creativity and analytical skills. The educational process focused on solving practical problems and fostering teamwork.
As part of the program, Sutimbekova delivered a presentation titled “Modern Methods and Approaches to Teaching Microbiology at Astana Medical University” during a roundtable discussion with faculty members. The presentation generated significant interest, facilitating an exchange of experiences in teaching microbiology. Additionally, Sutimbekova attended lectures and practical classes conducted by her colleagues, providing constructive feedback.
This academic mobility initiative served as a significant step in strengthening academic collaboration between educational institutions in Astana and Almaty. Furthermore, it contributed to fostering scientific partnerships between the two cities.
