This past weekend, a solemn oath-taking ceremony was held at the monument to the soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War, as cadets of Astana Medical University pledged their military allegiance.

The event was attended by 80 students of the School of Medicine of Astana Medical University, who completed a two-year training program for reserve officers at the university’s military department. The oath marked the culmination of their training and an important milestone in their development as citizens and future defenders of the Motherland.

The ceremony began with the presentation of the National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the performance of the National Anthem. Head of the Military Department Bolat Baikadamov addressed the assembled cadets, emphasizing the significance of the military oath as a symbol of loyalty to the country, courage, and readiness for service.

Words of congratulations were delivered by the cadets’ parents and invited guests from government bodies. All expressed pride, support, and best wishes to the future reserve officers and to the faculty of the military department who ensured the students' high-quality training.

The ceremony concluded with a ceremonial march and the performance of a military song, symbolically marking the end of the event.
