Types of tuition fee benefits at NJSC “AMU”

“Social” tuition payment benefit

This benefit is formalized through an additional agreement to the education contract in the Center for Continuing Education and Development (CCED), based on a document confirming the student’s eligibility under one of the categories listed below.

Description: The benefit allows monthly tuition payments from September 1 to June 30 for students in paid (fee-based) programs after submitting an application (Appendix 1) and documentary proof of belonging to one of the following categories:

  • Persons with disabilities of Group I or II, or those who acquire this status during their studies (original disability certificate);
  • Individuals with severe forms of certain chronic diseases as defined by the official list approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (document confirming the diagnosis);
  • Orphans/students left without parental care or those who lost their parents before reaching the age of majority (document confirming orphan status or loss of parents before age 18);
  • Loss (death) of one or both parents during the study period (copy of the death certificate of one or both parents);
  • Students from large families (with 4 or more children under 18 at the time of application; family composition certificate, copies of children’s birth certificates and parents’ IDs);
  • Student’s parent is a person with disability of Group I or II (disability certificate of the parent; copy of ID document);
  • Student’s parents are officially registered as unemployed (certificate of unemployment registration);
  • Student’s parents are pensioners, excluding those retired under special service (former law enforcement officers, military personnel, etc.; copy of pension certificate and ID document);
  • Two or more students from the same family are enrolled in fee-based programs (full siblings; certificate from the place of study indicating the form of education; copy of ID document);
  • Student’s parents are veterans of the war in Afghanistan (copy of military service certificate for Afghanistan veterans; copy of ID document).

 

“Corporate” tuition discount

Description: A 20% discount from the annual tuition fee, in accordance with the Price List for paid educational services, is provided to:

 

Postgraduate students (master’s and doctoral programs), for the full period of study, who:

Current employees of the University with at least 3 years of continuous work experience at the University and are admitted to a postgraduate program.

 

Required documents for employees:

  • Application form (Appendix 1);
  • Transcript with GPA indicated for the previous education level;
  • Certificate from the University HR department confirming length of service;
  • Copy of ID document.
