In Xinjiang (PRC), the China–Central Asia Academic Conference on Disease and Health took place – a prestigious international forum that brought together leading medical scientists and practitioners from China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, and other Central Asian countries. The conference served as a unique platform for knowledge exchange, discussion of global healthcare challenges, and the search for joint solutions.
Astana Medical University was represented with distinction by Vice-Rector for Research Zarina Shulgau and Dean of the School of Public Health and Management Aigerim Baymaganbetova. Their participation made a significant contribution to strengthening Kazakhstan’s international cooperation in the fields of science and public health.
During the discussions, topics included early diagnosis and prevention of oncology, innovative methods for treating cardiovascular diseases, combating respiratory infections, and the implementation of intelligent medical technologies. A separate session was dedicated to the prospects for joint scientific research and academic exchanges between China and Central Asian countries.
