A bright and festive event dedicated to International Students’ Day—a holiday that brings together millions of young people around the world every year—was held at Astana Medical University.
The celebration took place in the assembly hall of the university’s main building, bringing together students, faculty members, and honored guests. The atmosphere of the evening was filled with energy, inspiration, and a sense of unity within the large student community.
The festive program was opened by Asem Dosanova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, who congratulated the students on their special day. In her speech, she emphasized that students are not only the future of medicine but also a strategic resource for the country’s development. Astana Medical University continues to create favorable conditions for unlocking the potential of every student, supporting initiatives, strengthening the academic environment, and contributing to the professional growth of future doctors.
The main highlight of the evening was the official introduction of the new Student Rectorate for the 2025–2026 academic year. During the ceremony, the names of students entrusted with representing the interests of their peers and contributing to strengthening the student community were announced.
Nafisa Saidakbarova, a 3rd-year student of the School of General Medicine, was officially introduced as the Student Rector. Having previously served in the rectorate, she continues the tradition of student self-governance. Her team—motivated, talented, and active young leaders ready to bring new ideas and projects to life—was also presented.
The outgoing Student Rector for the 2024–2025 academic year, Ersultan Kydyrbai, shared warm words of encouragement and wished the new team a successful and productive term.
The celebration continued with an awards ceremony honoring the most active students who distinguished themselves in academic, scientific, volunteer, and social activities. Creative groups of the university presented a concert program that delighted the audience and became a bright conclusion to the event.
International Students’ Day at the university became a symbol of unity, youth, and the pursuit of knowledge—values that form the foundation of a successful future for our society.
