On April 7–8, 2026, the Test Laboratory of Radiochemistry and Radiospectrometry at the Research Institute of Radiobiology and Radiation Protection, NJSC “Astana Medical University”, successfully underwent its first scheduled accreditation assessment.

The assessment was conducted in accordance with the order of the Head of the Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management “National Accreditation Center” of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The expert group included leading specialists in accreditation and laboratory practice, including the head of the group, an assessor from the Accreditation Department for Testing Laboratories of the RSE “National Accreditation Center”, accreditation expert-auditor Elvira Raimbekova, as well as technical experts, Head of the Radiological Laboratory of the branch of the RSE “National Center for Expertise” (Astana) Maksat Musagaliyev and Quality Manager of “KazExpert Group” LLP Arman Kaziev.

During the assessment, a comprehensive evaluation of the laboratory’s activities was carried out for compliance with the requirements of the international standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.” The experts thoroughly reviewed internal documentation, assessed the professional competence of personnel, the technical equipment of the laboratory, and the effectiveness of quality assurance processes.

Based on the results of the assessment, full compliance of the test laboratory with the established requirements was confirmed. The expert group noted the high level of competence of specialists, modern technical infrastructure, and the reliability of the results obtained.

The successful completion of the first scheduled assessment confirms the high quality of research activities at Astana Medical University and its commitment to international standards in laboratory diagnostics and radiation safety.
