Students fr om Astana Medical University represented their institution with distinction at the national level, winning awards at the Start Anatomy Forum and the Republican Student Anatomy Olympiad, held on April 9–10, 2026, at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov.

This large-scale scientific and educational event was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, Academician, and Professor A.R.Rakishev and brought together medical students from across the country.

The Department of Human Anatomy named after A.B.Aubakirov of the Astana Medical University took an active part in the forum, demonstrating the high level of training of both students and faculty.

According to the results of the scientific session, first-year student of the School of Dentistry Aisha Kuandyk took third place with a presentation on “The Creation of 3D Models of Anatomical Bone Specimens.” Scientific advisor is M.K.Zhanalieva, Candidate of Medical Sciences and Professor.

Another notable achievement was the participation of the MedSana team, representing second-year students of the Medicine School, in the Republic Anatomical Olympiad. The team consisted of: Alua Galymzhanqyzy, Nurasyl Zharas, UmitKuzbaeva, Shyngys Kuanysh, Asylzhan Mirzagali, and Aruzhan Khabdolla.

In a tense intellectual and practical competition, wh ere participants had to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Anatomy, clinical thinking, and teamwork skills, the MedSana team won the honorable third place.

The students were supervised by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor M.K.Zhanalieva, and Senior Lecturer G.K.Sagimova.
