The two-day International Student Scientific Forum "Youth Forum on Sustainable Development in Medicine: Ideas, Solutions, and Perspectives" has successfully concluded at the Astana Medical University NcJSC. Dedicated to Science Day, this large-scale event brought together young scientists, students, and faculty members to address the pressing issues of modern medicine.
The official opening of the forum was attended by the Vice-Rector for Research, Zarina Shulgau, and the Deans of the University's Schools. In their speeches, they emphasized the significance of youth science, the support for research initiatives, and the training of a new generation of specialists capable of meeting contemporary challenges.
Over the course of two days, participants presented their research across 13 scientific sessions covering a wide range of fields, including basic medicine, biomedicine, pathology, pharmacology, surgery, pediatrics, public health, and digital medicine.
In total, more than 250 reports were presented during the forum. Following the sessions, a competent jury consisting of university faculty members selected the best participants, who were awarded diplomas and special prizes.
One of the forum's major highlights was the "MedAI Hackathon Astana" innovative competition, organized with the support of sponsors. Teams presented cutting-edge IT solutions for healthcare, demonstrating a high level of expertise, creative approaches, and a commitment to integrating digital technologies into the medical field.
As a result of the forum, the participants' abstracts were published in a special collection of scientific papers, providing young researchers with an opportunity to present their ideas to the broader academic community. This event reaffirmed that Astana Medical University serves as a premier platform for advancing science, supporting talented youth, and promoting innovations for the medicine of the future.
