Astana Medical University has become one of the first medical universities in Kazakhstan to confirm compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001:2016 «Anti-Bribery Management Systems» The certificate of compliance was issued by the international accreditation body SWISS APPROVAL, recognized and approved by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and a member of the Multilateral Agreement (MLA) framework.
ISO 37001:2016 is an international standard aimed at establishing an effective system for preventing corruption risks, identifying potential violations, and implementing transparent management mechanisms. For educational institutions, this standard is particularly important as it covers both academic activities and administrative processes.
Successful certification confirms that Astana Medical University has established a systematic approach to ensuring the principles of transparency, fairness, and zero tolerance for corruption. The University has implemented an anti-corruption policy, internal control procedures, risk assessment mechanisms, as well as regular monitoring and staff training practices.
Obtaining the international certificate became not only a confirmation of the University’s high level of corporate culture, but also an important step in strengthening trust among students, faculty members, partners, and society.
The certification covered all levels of the University’s activities - from the educational process to the management decision-making system. During the external audit, the existing management mechanisms and compliance with international requirements received a positive evaluation.
