Astana Medical University successfully passed the international specialized accreditation conducted by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR). Following the decision of the IAAR Accreditation Council dated April 30, 2026, all 47 educational programs of the University were accredited for a period of 5 years.
As part of the international specialized accreditation procedure, the External Expert Commission, which included international experts, evaluated 47 bachelor’s, residency, and master’s degree educational programs of the University for compliance with international quality assurance standards in medical education, including WFME, AMSE, and ESG standards.
A special achievement was that, for the first time, the following technical and vocational, post-secondary education programs successfully underwent IAAR international specialized accreditation:
1. 09130100 «Nursing» with the qualification 4S09130103 «General Practice Nurse»;
2. 09130100 «Nursing» with the qualification 5AB09130001 «Applied Bachelor in Nursing»;
3. 09130200 «Midwifery» with the qualification 4S09130201 «Midwife»;
4. 09160100 «Pharmacy» with the qualification 4S09160101 «Pharmacist»;
5. 09880100 «Medical and Preventive Care» with the qualification 4S09880101 «Hygienist-Epidemiologist».
Receiving international accreditation for a 5-year term confirms the high quality of AMU educational programs, the effectiveness of the University’s internal quality assurance system, and the compliance of specialist training with modern international standards.
The University administration expresses its gratitude to the faculty members, staff of structural divisions, students, graduates, employers, and all partners who contributed to the preparation and successful completion of the accreditation procedure.
This achievement represents an important step in strengthening Astana Medical University’s position in the international educational arena and confirms the University’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous development.
