Students of Astana Medical University completed an internship in the discipline “Quality Control and Standardization of Medicinal Products” at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University in Almaty. The internship was implemented within the framework of academic mobility with the participation of 33 students.
Over two intensive weeks, participants immersed themselves in a real scientific and production environment. Under the guidance of leading specialists, they reinforced the theoretical knowledge gained at the university and broadened their professional horizons in the field of pharmaceutical control.
As part of the internship, students visited the pharmaceutical company “Abdi Ibrahim Global Pharm,” where they got acquainted with the processes of drug manufacturing and quality control. They also visited the forensic medical examination center and the botanical garden, and took part in master classes, a forum, and an Olympiad. This allowed them to gain new knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience.
Beyond the academic process, participants got acquainted with the infrastructure of one of the country’s oldest medical universities and had the opportunity to evaluate the work of modern research and production facilities in practice.
The internship became an important educational experience and strengthened cooperation between leading medical universities in Kazakhstan, contributing to the training of qualified pharmacists.
