The II International Subject Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy for the “Pharmacy” educational program was held at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. The event took place within the framework of the international “ANAMED” forum and was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the School of Pharmacy of Asfendiyarov KazNMU.

The event was organized to improve the quality of training for future pharmacists, develop professional competencies, facilitate experience exchange among students and faculty of leading medical universities, and strengthen international cooperation in pharmaceutical education.

The Olympiad brought together student teams from 8 universities in 3 countries. Participants represented universities of Kazakhstan, as well as partner universities from neighboring countries.

5th-year students of the “Pharmacy” educational program demonstrated a high level of preparation and won prize places:

- 1st place - Team “Polifarmastan”.

The team achieved the best results in the pharmaceutical chemistry section and in solving complex cases on the analysis of multicomponent dosage forms.

- 3rd place - Team “Fitofarm”.

Strong training in pharmacognosy enabled the team to confidently complete the practical round on the identification and standardization of medicinal plant raw materials.
