As part of the ongoing international cooperation and the existing memorandum of understanding between Astana Medical University and Abuali ibn Sino Tajik State Medical University, Professor Aiman Musina, MD, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, participated in an academic mobility program from May 24 to May 29, 2026, at the Departments of Hygiene and Ecology and Environmental Hygiene of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine.
During the visit, Professor Aiman Musina delivered a series of lectures and practical classes on Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Hygiene. Particular attention was given to modern educational approaches and innovative teaching technologies actively implemented in the educational process of Astana Medical University. The open practical sessions attracted significant interest among both faculty members and students of the host university.
As part of the academic mobility program, a number of working meetings were held with academic staff members of the departments. During these meetings, prospects for further cooperation were discussed. The partner institutions identified key areas of activity for the interuniversity discussion platform and agreed upon the topics of joint online meetings and scientific and educational discussions for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Special attention was also devoted to the exchange of educational and methodological experience. Teaching manuals and methodological guidelines developed by the faculty members of Astana Medical University were introduced at the Department of Epidemiology, Hygiene and Environmental Protection with the Course of Microbiology and Virology of the Institute of Postgraduate Education in Healthcare of the Republic of Tajikistan. In addition, the university’s scientific and methodological materials were donated to the library of Tajik State Medical University, which was officially confirmed by a certificate of implementation.
During the departmental meeting, the partners also discussed the adaptation of academic curricula aimed at expanding academic mobility opportunities for students and faculty members in the upcoming academic year.
Upon completion of the academic mobility program, Professor Aiman Musina received an official certificate and a confirmation letter verifying the successful completion of a 24-academic-hour program.
Participation in such international educational initiatives contributes to strengthening academic partnerships, facilitating the exchange of best practices, and promoting the development of a unified scientific and educational environment in the field of medical education.
