AMU Administrative Staff Trained in Basic Life Support

Administrative and management staff at Astana Medical University have completed training in basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) under the BLS (Basic Life Support) programme.

The training was conducted by the Simulation Centre of Astana Medical University. Participants did not simply learn the basic first-aid algorithms - they also practised them in realistic scenarios. They learned how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and respond appropriately to a sudden cardiac arrest.

The main goal of the training is straightforward: to remain calm in an emergency and know what to do before professional medical assistance arrives.

For a university where caring for health is an integral part of everyday work, these skills are important not only for healthcare professionals but for all employees. Knowing how to help a person during the first critical minutes of an emergency is a skill that everyone can learn.
