How can different medical approaches interact while ensuring that the person and their health always remain at the centre of care? This increasingly relevant question was one of the key topics discussed at the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Aspects of Interdisciplinary Interaction between Osteopathy and Traditional Medicine,” held in Astana on September 4.

The conference brought together representatives of the scientific and medical communities, faculty members and students of medical universities, specialists in traditional medicine and osteopathy, as well as international experts.

Participants showed particular interest in the professional dialogue on the potential of an interdisciplinary approach, the scientific study of practical methods, and prospects for their further development within the healthcare system.

The international participation added special significance to the event. Among the invited experts was Pierre Vey, Director of the Osteopathy Centre in France.

The presentations delivered by Razaual Manzhugетova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Osteopathy and Head of the Central Asian Faculty of the V.L.Andrianov Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as Professors Irina Egorova and Andrey Chervotok, were particularly informative and engaging.

The participants also discussed the possibility of implementing a joint memorandum, which could serve as one of the instruments for strengthening scientific and practical cooperation.

The conference was organized by the E.D. Dalenov Research Institute of Preventive Medicine of Medical University Astana, the Central Asian Faculty of the V.L.Andrianov Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Alliance of Osteopaths of Kazakhstan.
