ACADEMIC MOBILITY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC FOR 4TH-YEAR STUDENTS OF THE “MEDICINE” EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME

DEAR 4TH-YEAR STUDENTS OF THE “MEDICINE” EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME!

As part of the Academic Mobility Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year, a competition is being announced for 4th-year students of the “Medicine” educational programme to undertake practical training at the following partner university during the Spring Semester of 2027:

1. University of Ostrava, Faculty of Medicine (Ostrava, Czech Republic) – 4 places

Duration of the practical training: 1 month (late March – mid-April 2027)

The exact dates of the practical training will be announced additionally.

FUNDING

Round-trip airfare – covered by the University up to 170 MCI;

Tuition feesfree of charge;

Accommodation, meals and visa fees – covered by the students from their own funds.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

1.   have no outstanding academic requirements;

2.   have no disciplinary sanctions;

3.   have a minimum GPA of 3.2 (3.6 for students applying for academic mobility for the second time);

4.   preferably have achievements in international and national olympiads and/or conferences;

5.   have a foreign language proficiency level of at least B2, confirmed by a valid IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 6.5 or a B2 certificate issued by an educational institution or language course provider.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1.   Application Form for participation in the competition, signed by Alya Smagulova, Dean of the School of Medicine (the application form is attached below);

2.   CV / Resume with a photograph;

3.   Motivation Letter, signed by the applicant;

4.   Recommendation Letter from a faculty member, duly signed;

5.   Two 3×4 cm photographs;

6.   Copy of the passport (personal data page);

7.   Copy of the transcript of records covering the entire period of study;

8.   Valid IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 6.5 or a B2 certificate issued by an educational institution or language course provider;

9.   Copies of diplomas, certificates and other documents confirming prize-winning places (1st, 2nd or 3rd place) in national and/or international olympiads, competitions, contests and other events related to medical specialties (if available).

*ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH.

 

* ONLY CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION.
