AI in Everyday Work: University Hosts a Seminar on Using ChatGPT Edu

How can artificial intelligence help educators prepare for classes and university staff organise information and draft work documents? These questions were at the heart of a practical training seminar on ChatGPT Edu, organised at our university in collaboration with representatives of BilimUpSkill.

Participants explored the capabilities of generative AI and its potential applications in the university’s educational and administrative activities. The focus was on everyday tasks where AI can offer useful support, fr om brainstorming and preparing materials to structuring texts and explaining complex topics.

For educators, these tools offer an opportunity to approach teaching materials from a fresh perspective: selecting clear examples, developing discussion questions, and designing assignments suited to students’ levels of preparation. In administrative work, they can help draft a letter, outline a document, or present large amounts of information in a more accessible format.

Effective use of AI begins with a clearly defined task. The more precisely a prompt describes the purpose, context, and expected outcome, the more useful the response is likely to be. People remain responsible for assessing its accuracy, quality, and relevance. For a medical university, checking facts and handling personal and confidential data with care are particularly important.

The seminar offered an opportunity to look at familiar workflows in a new way and identify wh ere modern technology can save time for what matters most: teaching, professional dialogue, and tasks that require human knowledge and experience.
