Faculty members of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 at Törегелді Sharmanov National Medical University presented the results of their research in omics medicine at the III Congress of Cardiologists of Turkic-Speaking Countries, “Modern Cardiology: From Prevention to Advanced Technologies.” The international forum was held in Tashkent on October 2–3.
The event brought together leading specialists from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, the United States, Poland, Slovakia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Participants discussed the latest technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, current scientific developments and prospects for the advancement of cardiology.
One of the key areas of the congress was omics medicine, which incorporates advanced approaches in genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. These technologies open up new opportunities for early diagnosis, individual risk assessment and personalized treatment.
As part of the omics medicine session, Associate Professor Lyazzat Zhusupbekova and PhD student Dinara Nurkina delivered scientific presentations, sharing their research findings and modern approaches to studying the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases. The research presented highlights the growing importance of omics-based studies in modern cardiology and their potential for advancing personalized medicine.
For the University’s faculty members, participation in the forum provided an opportunity to present their research findings, exchange experience with international colleagues and expand scientific collaborations. The knowledge gained and international experience will contribute to the Department’s further research and educational activities.
