Modern approaches to diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases were discussed at the Third Congress of Cardiologists of Turkic-Speaking Countries in Tashkent. Associate Professor L.I. Zhusupbekova and PhD student D.A. Nurkina of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 presented research from Sharmanov National Medical University.
Held on October 2–3 under the theme “Modern Cardiology: From Prevention to High Technologies,” the congress brought together specialists from Central Asia, Europe, the United States, Russia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Discussions focused on new technologies that support more accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and treatment tailored to each patient.
One of the topics on the scientific programme was omics medicine—the study of genes, proteins and the products of metabolism. This research offers a deeper understanding of how cardiovascular diseases develop and opens up opportunities for early diagnosis and individual risk assessment.
During the omics session, L.I. Zhusupbekova and D.A. Nurkina delivered presentations on the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases. They shared their research findings and discussed the potential application of this knowledge in personalised medicine.
The participants also explored research by international specialists and exchanged experience with colleagues. Professional discussions covered new research approaches and opportunities for further collaboration.
