The Third Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, “Innovative Solutions in Laboratory Medicine: International Experience and Achievements,” brought together professionals to discuss advances in the field. Tө regeldi Sharmanov National Medical University co-organised the event with the Kazakhstan Association of Medical Laboratories (KAMLAB).

The conference brought together 1,718 specialists in laboratory diagnostics, healthcare, science and medical technology, with 494 attending in person and a further 1,224 joining online. Participants represented Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belgium, Germany and other countries.

The University’s role in organising the conference helped strengthen links between medical education, research and healthcare practice. The event provided a platform for exchanging experience with international colleagues and discussing technologies that can improve the quality and accessibility of laboratory diagnostics.

The scientific programme featured 56 speakers from Kazakhstan and abroad. Key topics included the digital transformation of laboratory services, artificial intelligence, laboratory automation, molecular genetic diagnostics and quality management. Participants also discussed the organisation of laboratory services and cooperation between the public and private healthcare sectors.

A specialised exhibition complemented the programme, with 18 companies presenting diagnostic equipment, reagents and modern technological solutions. Participants explored new developments and discussed opportunities for their application in clinical practice.
