According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as of April 12, 34,478 people (33,908 CVI+ and 570 CVI -) continue to receive treatment for CVI, of which 12,349 patients are in hospitals, and 22,129 patients are on the outpatient level.
As of April 10, 282,372 people received the first component of the coronavirus vaccine in Kazakhstan, and 102,909 people received the second component. But there are frequent questions among the population, whether a vaccinated person is a carrier of infection, whether he should adhere to anti-epidemic rules so as not to infect others, whether he can get sick, even if he received two components of the vaccine and survived the period of 42 days? These questions were answered by inbusiness.kz Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Saken Amireev and Head of the Department of Children's Infectious Diseases of NAO "Astana Medical University", Professor Dinagul Baeshova.
The question is about saving people's lives
When asked whether a person can "catch" a coronavirus infection after receiving the first component of the vaccine, as well as the second, until 21 days have passed since its introduction, both experts answered in the affirmative.
"A person who has received the vaccine should take every possible care not to get infected with this infection until the body develops immunity," says Dinagul Baeshova. - Especially during the first and second vaccination, of course, it is necessary to observe all anti-epidemic measures and wear masks, since the body has not formed antibodies."
According to Saken Amireev, the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine does not fully protect the body.
"The first dose of the vaccine is weak. By the way, even after a person has been ill, a protective titer against coronavirus is not formed. Many people say: "I have already been ill once, so I do not need to make a vaccine, I do not need to follow anti-epidemic measures." After a person has been ill, he has antibodies in his body, but they are very weak, so you can not hope for this. The person should receive a full dose of the vaccine. But if a person does not want to do this, then this is his right. This vaccination is voluntary."
As experts specify, in principle, even receiving a full dose of the vaccine with all the required deadlines does not give a 100% guarantee of protection against coronavirus infection.
"Once antigens are introduced into the body, then antibodies are produced against them. Of course, the body is preparing to meet with this infection. But this does not mean that these people will absolutely not get sick. It is possible that some part with the characteristics of the immune system will get a coronavirus infection after vaccination. But they 100% won't die. And this disease will be much easier for them, " says Dinagul Baeshova.
According to her, at the moment there is a question of saving people's lives. Therefore, in the opinion of the doctor, vaccination is certainly necessary.
"If you even received two doses of the vaccine and the period of 42 days has passed, you must continue to wear a mask, observe all hygiene requirements. Wash your hands, do not go into crowds of people, - confirms Saken Amireev. – Our immunity can decrease at any time. Even because of a little stress when you are nervous. Therefore, you need to take care of yourself, not to freak out about anything, be careful with alcohol and smoking, which also reduce immunity."
According to experts, the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V", which is now used in Kazakhstan, protects against all strains of coronavirus.
"Now there are new, mutated strains. South African, British, Brazilian, Spanish, " says Professor Amireev. – All the vaccines we have protect against mutated strains. We do not know the Kazakh vaccine yet, and we have not yet received final approval from the WHO for its use. All vaccines will be used only after the end of the trials and with the approval of WHO. Therefore, in this regard, there is strict control."
The vaccine does not infect
According to experts, if a person can get sick during and even after vaccination, then the vaccine itself, contrary to popular belief, is not a source of infection. In other words, a person who has been vaccinated against coronavirus cannot be contagious to others because of the vaccination.
"A person who has received a vaccine cannot be a carrier of a coronavirus infection, because he is vaccinated only by a structure," says Dinagul Baeshova. "That is, there is no full-fledged coronavirus in his body, which has an infecting ability."
According to Saken Amireev, " there is no virus in the vaccine, there is only protein." This is a certain part of the virus, its immunogenic part, against which the immune system works.
"And to say that "I received a certain amount of the virus during vaccination" is wrong. You have not received a virus, you have been injected with a protein that will cause antibodies. There is no virus in any vaccine from different countries, there is only its immunogenic site, " Saken Amireev repeats.
In this regard, according to experts, the question of whether the beginning of mass vaccination can be the reason for the increase in the incidence of CVI in some regions of Kazakhstan is removed by itself. It is associated with the fact that people have stopped observing anti-epidemic measures, as well as with the appearance of new strains. Saken Amireev also does not rule out that the reason is the low level of vaccination against CVI and that about 30% of the population of Kazakhstan may be asymptomatic carriers of coronavirus and infect others.
"The president scolded the Minister of Health for the fact that we have a low vaccination rate," says Saken Amireev. - Israel came out at 85%, for example, this is a great job, we did not even get 2%. This is bad. In order to form a collective immunity, it is necessary that at least 70% of the population is vaccinated. Although now experts say that this is not enough. At least 85% of the vaccinated should be. Only then is collective immunity formed."
Before receiving a vaccine against CVI, a person does not pass a test for coronavirus, only his well-being and possible contraindications are checked. According to Dinagul Baeshova, according to international studies, WHO requirements, there is no need to take a test for the presence of the virus in the body before vaccination.
What else will he do?
According to Saken Amireev, with the coronavirus, we should all be on "you".
"What else can he do? We didn't really know anything about the coronavirus before. They didn't pay any attention. It was like an ARVI. They took paracetamol, some other drugs, and that was the end of the treatment. Now there is evidence that it affects not only the respiratory tract, lung tissue, but also the kidneys, liver, nerve cells, almost all organs, - says Saken Amireev. – All types of penetration into the body, infection, he has mastered. So this is a tricky virus. By and large, drugs for the treatment of coronavirus – once or twice and there are not enough. In the Russian Federation, in the Southern Urals, a drug was created, but it is still being tested."
According to Amireev, the interferon group can be used as therapeutic drugs in the first stage of the CVI disease. But when the disease passes to the second stage, interferon no longer destroys the virus.
"At the beginning of the pandemic, our doctors did not know these nuances. Now they know, so the treatment protocols are changing. If we have become more likely to detect infected CVI, this is good. When we do not detect virus carriers, it is dangerous. Therefore, even if you have received two doses of the vaccine, as long as there are lockdowns, restrictive measures, it is better to observe them. Is it difficult, or what? " - summed up Saken Amireev.
