Our University trains specialists for the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who are able to comprehensively solve problems in the field of epidemiological surveillance and control.
The mission of an epidemiologist is not the treatment of individual patients, but the safety of the entire population as a whole.
The term of study is 1 year.
Upon completion of the annual training, the student receives the qualification degree “Master of Public Health in the educational program “7M10119 Epidemiology”.
The objects of professional activity of graduates of the profile master’s program will be organizations engaged in medical and preventive activities, healthcare organizations, Committees for quality control of the safety of goods and services, Scientific centers for sanitary and epidemiological examination, National Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The list of positions in which our graduate can work is an epidemiologist, a statistician, a methodologist, a doctor (specialist) of the sanitary and epidemiological service.
The master’s degree allows you to expand your area of competence, namely, to carry out surveillance of risks and threats in the field of a number of factors that determine the state of health and influence it, in order to identify the need for intervention measures, taking into account knowledge of international standards.
