On June 9, 2022, at the next meeting of the Academic Council of the NAO "Astana Medical University", the issue of assigning the Department of Human Anatomy named after Professor A.B. Aubakirov was approved.
Ashim Bulatovich Aubakirov was the head of the Department of Human Anatomy from 1991 to 2019. In his professional scientific activity, Professor Aubakirov has always been distinguished by activity and openness to everything new, he was the first in Kazakhstan to master the innovative technology of polymer embalming of anatomical preparations, having completed an internship at the International Morphological Center (St. Petersburg, Russia) and China (Dalian). With his usual enthusiasm and tireless energy, he successfully implemented this technology of plastination at our university.
Under the leadership of A.B. Aubakirov, 8 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertation were defended. Russian Russian and English Ashim Bulatovich is the author of 19 textbooks and dictionaries on human anatomy in Kazakh, Russian and English, among them the twice-reprinted atlas of human anatomy in Kazakh in 4 volumes, the short atlas "Adam Anatomiyasy", Latin textbooks in Kazakh and Russian
The staff of the Department of Human Anatomy continues the work of its mentor with dignity under the guidance of his students. The teaching staff includes 34 employees, more than 50% have an academic degree. Students from 1st to 3rd year study normal anatomy and topographic anatomy with operative surgery in Kazakh, Russian and English. Teachers of the department actively apply innovative teaching methods with the registration of implementation acts. Scientific research of employees and students is presented annually at national and international conferences, receiving prizes. The Department of Human Anatomy regularly occupies high positions in the university rankings. The friendly team preserves the traditions of professional cooperation and mentoring of veterans over young employees.
As part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Scientist, Teacher and Mentor, an International scientific Morphological conference in memory of Professor Ashim Bulatovich Aubakirov "Morphofunctional aspects of medical research" is planned to be held on August 26, 2022.
