Mission:
Training highly qualified, competitive healthcare specialists capable of independent clinical practice and continuous professional development.
About Us:
The Residency and Clinical Work Department of NJSC "Astana Medical University" is a key structural unit responsible for the organization, coordination, and development of postgraduate clinical training and all clinical activities of the University. We strive to form a new generation of doctors who meet the high standards of modern healthcare.
Our History:
The history of postgraduate clinical training at our University is a path of continuous improvement.
-
2009-2010: The internship sector was reorganized into a department, then into a deanship, laying the groundwork for a systematic approach to postgraduate education.
-
2020: The Center for Internship and Residency was established for the centralized organization and coordination of the educational process for postgraduate educational programs.
-
2022: A significant milestone was the creation of the School of Residency in accordance with the new organizational structure of NJSC AMU. The School carries out a full cycle of organization, planning, implementation, and control of residency educational programs aimed at acquiring or changing a physician's professional qualification for admission to independent clinical practice.
Clinical activity developed in parallel:
-
2009: Opening of the sector for clinical work and innovative technologies, focused on distance learning and telemedicine consultations.
-
2011-2023: A period of active transformation of the unit responsible for clinical work – from the Department of Clinical Work and Evidence-Based Medicine to the Center for Practice and Clinical Activity Development (2023). This indicates an expansion of functionality, integration of undergraduate clinical practice, and continuous search for new development paths.
