Admission to the doctoral program in the educational program Biology

STAGE I ENTRANCE EXAM

Acceptance of applications for doctoral studies is carried out by the admission committee of the university and (or) through the information system of the National Testing Center (app.testcenter.kz ) in the following terms:

1) from July 3 to August 3 of the calendar year;

2) from November 1 to November 18 of the calendar year.

Entrance exams for groups of educational programs for doctoral studies are held in the following terms:

1) from August 4 to August 20 of the calendar year;

2) from November 19 to December 11 of the calendar year;

The certificate of the entrance exam held in the period from August 4 to August 20 is valid until December 1 of the current calendar year;

The certificate of the entrance exam held in the period from November 19 to December 11 is valid until March 1 of the calendar year.

The entrance exam for doctoral studies in computer format consists of the following blocks:

1) an interview with the applicant, conducted by the OVPO examination committee;

2) writing an essay;

3) answers to exam questions on the profile of the educational program group.

 The final grade is a combination of points obtained by summing up the results of the essay assessment, answering exam questions on the profile of the educational program group and an interview.

STAGE II – PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION FOR THE AWARD OF AN EDUCATIONAL GRANT

To participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant, the applicant submits the documents specified in the Standard Rules for Admission to educational organizations implementing educational programs of higher and postgraduate education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2018 No. 600 through the information system of the National Testing Center and (or) through the university admissions committee.

When submitting documents, the applicant indicates one OVPO and one group of educational programs.

Information about the deadlines is published on the official Internet resource of the authorized body in the field of education.

STAGE III – ADMISSION TO THE UNIVERSITY

Admission to the doctoral program is carried out in the following terms:

1) from August 15 to August 28 of the calendar year;

2) from December 26 to January 10 of the calendar year.

When providing an incomplete list of documents specified in the Standard Rules for Admission to educational organizations implementing educational programs of higher and postgraduate education, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2018 No. 600, the admission committee does not accept documents from applicants.
