Research Grant Competitions

The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the implementation of the “Promoting Productive Innovation” Project, announces a competition for the grant program “Production Sector Consortiums: Industrial and Scientific Technological Consortium”.

The main goal of the grant program is the commercialization of innovative solutions, scientific developments and/or technologies of consortiums.

Requirement for participants:

Within the framework of the grant program, it is necessary to create a consortium between several participants. Mandatory conditions for the consortium are the participation of at least two (2) non-affiliated manufacturing enterprises and at least one (1) scientific organization.

Grant amount:

The maximum grant amount is up to 650 million tenge (under a type A grant), and up to 250 million tenge (under a type B grant), the implementation period is up to 18 months.

The amount of co-financing must be at least 50 percent of the grant amount (for type A grant), and at least 30 percent of the grant amount (for type B grant).

Selection process:

Following the completion of the application process, the selection will take place in several stages through the examination of international experts, as well as specialists in the industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan.

Expected results:

Upon completion of the grant program, the consortia that received funding must ensure the volume of commercialization of at least 20% of the amount of the grant received, the implementation and development of a strategy for automating / digitalization of the subproject (among other things, virtual reality, BIM technologies, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence), staff development (learning the basics of Industry 4.0.).

Deadline for applications:

Acceptance of applications through starts on May 25, 2023 and ends on July 10, 2023 at 18:00 Astana time *.

IMPORTANT:

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted through the Astanahub electronic portal at the following link: https://astanahub.com/ru/l/gup-grant-programs in English, Kazakh and/or Russian.

Filling out the application in English is mandatory, as the examination of projects is carried out by international experts in English.

Applicants should carefully read and comply with all requirements of the Grant Program Guidelines.

Strict adherence to all requirements is required. Applications that do not comply with the rules of participation are subject to rejection and will not be accepted for consideration.
