ARIEL UNIVERSITY

Ariel Ariel University (https://www.ariel.ac.il/) is the youngest and most rapidly developing university in Israel (1201+ place in THE World University Rankings 2022, 401+ place in THE Young University Rankings 2022, 401+ place in Asia University Rankings 2021). Today, over 15,000 students study at four faculties (humanitarian, engineering, medical and natural sciences). Ariel University has research centers: alternative energy sources; development of means of combating terror; materials research; robotics; free electron accelerator (FEL). The professional staff of the university is represented by more than 1900 teachers.

The two universities agreed to develop cooperation in the following areas:

1. Development of joint, incl. double degree educational programs:

- at the master's level - in such areas as biomedicine, public health, health management;

- at the PhD and postdoctoral level in a wide range of medical specialties.

2. Implementation of academic mobility programs - exchange of students and teaching staff. At the same time, academic mobility in clinical specialties and disciplines can be implemented on the basis of the Sheba Medical Center, which is the clinical base of Ariel University.

3. Invitation of teachers from Ariel University as visiting professors to NJSC "MUA".

4. Cooperation in scientific research - for a substantive discussion of further areas of scientific cooperation, both parties will send lists of leading scientists from their universities with their list of publications.

5. Involvement of leading scientists of Ariel University as foreign scientific consultants in the implementation of PhD and postdoctoral programs.

In May 2022, the first official visit of the Rector of NJSC "Astana Medical University" Kamalzhan Talgatovich Nadyrov to Ariel University took place. As part of the visit to Ariel University, a general overview of the activities of the university and ongoing educational programs was obtained, shared laboratories were visited, further activities were discussed for the implementation of joint cooperation.

In September 2022, the International Summit of Academic Leaders in Uzbekistan "Academy of the 21st century: in the forefront" was held to bring together the leaders of the Modern Academy of Israel, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to join forces for a better future of the academy.

Topics discussed at the summit included:

1. Today's Academy: A bridge to peace - the establishment of strong international ties.

2. Global pandemic: Covid-19 and its impact on the academic world.

3. Academic flexibility: partnership in a pandemic and collaboration at a distance.

4. Digital learning: today's reality and tomorrow's future.

5. Academic centers of entrepreneurship.

6. University and its cities: the impact of the university on the region.

7. Sustainable development as an international initiative.

8. Personalized and translational medicine.

9. Interdisciplinary projects in the field of fundamental and human sciences.

10. Integration of talented high school students into the university world.

International Summit "Academy of the 21st century: Standing in the forefront", Medical sessions.

The Summit will bring together distinguished academics from universities and research institutions around the world to share ideas and generate and collaborate on new initiatives that will address the global challenges and challenges facing scientists and researchers in the 21st century as a whole, as well as medicine.

The summit program will include keynote panel discussions, lectures, workshops, hackathons and field trips to universities with a focus on laboratories and research centers. The program will also include cultural tours around Astana.
