Objectives
The goal is to master the theoretical foundations and practical skills in anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care by students, residents and listeners. Methods of protecting the patient from surgical trauma, purposefully increasing the reserve capacity of the body, correcting the physiological and pathophysiological changes in systems and organs that occur as a result of the operation, as well as methods and techniques for the fastest removal of the patient from life-threatening conditions are being studied.
History of creation
The Chair of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care was organized in 2011, Professor Konkayev A.K. was appointed head of the Chair. Professor Mustafin A.Kh., associate professors Kabdualiev A.K., Razumov S.A., assistants Gurbanova E.I., Bapanov Zh.A. were admitted to the newly formed Chair. The clinical bases of the Chair were the Republican State Enterprise "Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics", the 2nd City Hospital, the Republican State Enterprise "2nd Children's City Hospital".
Professor Konkayev A.K., assistant Gurbanova E.I. completed a fragment of the scientific and technical program: "Development and implementation of innovative technologies for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with multiple and associated injuries, their consequences and orthopedic diseases" on the topic: "Optimization of intensive care for acute massive blood loss in severe traumatic injuries." As part of the scientific and technical program, they carried out volumetric monitoring using the PICCO method, invasive control of blood pressure, and the development of an algorithm for infusion therapy for acute massive blood loss. Professor Konkaev A.K. together with the undergraduate Bekmagambetova N.V. the problem of postoperative delirium in gerontological patients with injuries of the musculoskeletal system was studied, a comprehensive assessment of cognitive status was carried out using the MMSE and CAM-ICU scales, and innovative methods for correcting mental disorders were introduced.
Professor Kabdualiev A.K. deals with the study of the functions of respiration and blood circulation during thoracic and extrathoracic surgical interventions. For these purposes, catheterization of the right heart by the Swan-Ganz method is carried out, the assessment of cardiac output and circulating blood volume is performed using radioisotope techniques, and the surface-active properties of the surfactant are also studied.
Professor Razumov S.A. studies in depth the issues of intensive care of peritonitis in pediatric patients.
Currently, the clinical bases of the Chair of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 1 are: RSE on REM " National Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after acad. N.D. Batpenov", Multidisciplinary City Children's Hospital No. 2, Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Chair of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 1 conducts primary retraining of doctors of various specialties, anesthesiologists, resuscitators, toxicologists, neonatologists, emergency doctors are trained in advanced training cycles. All employees of the Chair have been trained in leading clinics in Italy, Austria, Norway, Lithuania, Russia, USA.
Activities
The main directions of research activity of the Chair are intensive care of acute heart failure, acute respiratory failure, preparation of patients for anesthesia and surgical interventions, development of pain relief methods with additional antinociceptive protection and postoperative analgesia, treatment of multiple organ failure syndrome, sepsis, improvement of the organization of anesthesiology and resuscitation services.
Achievements
The staff of the Chair defended 1 doctoral and 2 candidate dissertations, 1 dissertation for the degree of PhD, devoted to topical issues of regional anesthesia-analgesia, respiratory support in cardiac surgery. The generalization of the dissertations of the Chair staff ended with the release of 5 monographs on topical issues of central neuraxial blockades, the receipt of 24 innovative patents, 5 scientific and methodological manuals and more than 250 scientific articles - both in the near and far abroad.
The Chair of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 1 of the Faculty of Continuous Development and Postgraduate Education of NJSC "AMU" is an organizational and methodological center for the introduction of new technologies into clinical practice. The main direction of the scientific and clinical work of the Chair is the optimization of intensive care for acute massive blood loss in severe traumatic injuries, drug correction of neurological disorders after CPR, improvement of anesthetic and resuscitation care for delirium in ICU patients.
In 2012, the staff of the Chair submitted an application to open a branch of the European School of Anesthesiology (CEEA) in Astana. At the meeting of the Committee for European Anesthesiology Education on June 3, 2013 (Barcelona, Spain), the first CEEA branch in Kazakhstan was opened by unanimous decision, the director of which was approved by the head of the Chair of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 1 of NJSC "AMU", Professor A.K. Konkaev. The Foundation for European Anesthesiology Education is an international non-profit organization founded in 1986 in Holland by Johan Spierdijk (Leiden), Philippe Scherpereel (Lille). Later it was transformed into the Committee for European Anesthesia Education (CEEA) of the European Society of Anesthesiologists (ESA). More than 120 branches of the European Committee for Anesthesiology Education have been opened around the world, more than 8,000 anesthesiologists-resuscitators have been trained. The program for all 6 cycles was agreed with the European Society of Anesthesiology (ESA) and the World Federation of the Society of Anesthesiologists (WFSA). Candidates who have completed the CEEA course of study are eligible to take the examination for the European Diploma in Anesthesiology.
The plans for the development of the Chair provide for the expansion of medical bases, the admission of anesthesiologists, resuscitators to the Chair to continue their studies in the magistracy and doctoral studies.
