History of creation
The Department of Phthisiology (from 1998 to 2002, the Department of Phthisiology and Thoracic Surgery, 2003-2008, the course of phthisiology, from 01.10.2008, the Department of Phthisiology) has been functioning since 1967. At first, the department was deployed on the basis of the Regional TB Dispensary, and since August 1978 on the basis of the road anti-tuberculosis dispensary of the Tselinnaya railway. Since 1996, the base has been the regional anti-tuberculosis dispensary, and now it is a city one.
Organizer and first head of the department (1967 - 1971), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Stanislav Dmitrievich Poletaev.
From 1971 to 1998, the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Worker of Public Education, Professor Gennady Aleksandrovich Vyadro.
From 1998 to 2000, the head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Galimzhan Borankulovich Rakishev.
From April 2004 to the present time, the head of the department is Associate Professor Anatoly Alekseevich Bugakov.
Activities
Directed activities:
The department is a scientific, methodological and consulting center for the fight against tuberculosis in the Akmola region. Its employees are actively involved in diagnostic work, in the promotion of knowledge among the population.
The department was the initiator and participated in the publication of collections of printed works (1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1999, 2001) on topical issues of diagnosis, treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis and other bronchopulmonary diseases. For more than 40 years, more than 13,000 students of the medical, pediatric and biomedical faculties have studied at the Department of Phthisiology, 12 doctors have completed their clinical residency, 2 people have completed postgraduate studies. Since 2003, the faculty of advanced training for doctors in phthisiology has been working.
The staff of the department defended 4 doctoral dissertations - S.D. Poletaev (1968), G.A. Vyadro (1974), G.A. Kalinichev (1974), A.I. Kolos (1999); Ph.D. theses: D.N. Kalacheva (1971), Z.N. Gritsulyak (1972), A.A. Bugakov (1992), S.L. Bugakov (1999).
