Objectives
- ensuring the training of qualified, competitive specialists of general practitioners (family doctors) who meet the requirements of a professional educational standard, possessing the required amount of knowledge, skills, and practical skills for independent implementation of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation measures;
- development of corporate culture and quality culture;
- introduction of innovative educational technologies to improve the quality of the educational process;
- development of the material and technical base and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
The scientific priorities of the department are research in the field of pediatric allergology, the search for effective diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma in children, chronic urticaria. The scientific search of the staff of the department has other areas: the introduction of a universal-progressive model of home-visiting services, a disease management program in primary care, cancer prevention in gastroenterology, emergency assistance by the emergency team at primary care.
History of creation
The department of general medical practice No.2 was organized at the faculty of continuous professional development and additional education of JSC "AMU" in September 2007. The first head of the Chair since the opening was Associate Professor, PhD Duman Turebekov. Since October 2008, Doctor of Medicine Saltanat Urazova has headed the Chair. In 2019, because of a change in the structure of the university, there was a merger of the Chair of General Medical Practice No.2 with the Chair of General Medical Practice with a course of evidence-based medicine. In 2020, the department began to exist independently and was renamed the Chair of family medicine No.3.
Activities
The activities of the Chairof Family Medicine No.3 are aimed at creating conditions for the provision of high-quality education for undergraduate students, 6th and 7th-year interns in the specialty of family medicine, postgraduate education for 1st and 2nd-year residents in the specialty of family medicine. The Chair participates in the implementation of the training of highly qualified specialists by ensuring a high level of teaching quality, involving all employees in the education process, using innovative technologies that contribute to the induction of students' creative activity
Achievements
The Chair works in collaboration with organizations of practical health care and is sensitive to changing demands of the conjuncture. Implementation certificates for the clinic, innovative patents were received. New educational technology has been introduced: "Integrated interdisciplinary lecture" (No. 0000015 (17)). The Chair provides practical medical advice to the population of the city. On November 16, 2017, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic: "Intersectoral cooperation on the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation of children with an autism spectrum disorder." New work curricula were developed and new cycles of advanced training were introduced, taking into account the requirements of the model curriculum approved in 2017. According to the results of the 2019 ranking, the head of the department took first place in the nomination "The best doctor of a therapeutic profile". Moreover, according to the results of the university ranking for 2020, the Chair of Family Medicine No.3 took the honorable first place in the ranking in science and the second in the overall ranking.
