NURIS Innovation Cluster conducts free startup development programs for students

Since 2018, the Innovation Cluster of Nazarbayev University "Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System" (hereinafter referred to as NURIS) has been conducting free startup development programs for students, start-up companies, inventors and innovators (hereinafter referred to as the Program).
The main objectives of the Program are to create a system of support for innovative ideas of students, young scientists and entrepreneurs showing the ability to innovate project activities from different regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
As part of the Program, ABC Weekend is held as the first stage. ABC Weekend is a two–day offline event to generate and improve innovative and technological business ideas, during which participants receive feedback from experts, advice from mentors and successful entrepreneurs, and form a clear vision of their startup. According to the results of ABC Weekend, the best startups enter the 2nd stage of the Program and get the opportunity to receive pre-seed financing up to 2 million tenge.
As part of the Program, NURIS held an ABC Weekend in Shymkent, Atyrau, Almaty and Tashkent (Uzbekistan) to develop the startup ecosystem in the regions
. NURIS plans to hold an ABC Weekend in Nur-Sultan on August 27-28, 2022.
